Mission Statement

I want to write poems of beautiful things

And shine a light on them for others

Poems of dandelions, mountains, and meadows

Wedding rings, fathers, and mothers.

I want to write poems that bring readers peace

And allow them to rest with my words.

Poems of beaches, of rivers and trees

Mourning doves cooing, a cool morning breeze.

I want to write poems that resound with life

The hills and the valleys, darkness and light.

Poems that cry, moan, shout, and rejoice

Encourage the hopeless, give them a voice.

I want to write poems that make readers feel

Cause them to think, invite them to heal

Poems of hope and friendship and love

Poems that lift us to God up above.
