Hello. My name is Jordan Puckett. I am an 8th grade teacher at a small Catholic school in Cincinnati. Over the past couple years, I have been writing poems quite regularly and now I am ready to start sharing them.

Just as all life comes from God, so too does all wisdom and creativity flow from Him. One who creates art either knowingly or unknowingly participates in the artistic work of the Creator, choosing to do either good or ill with the gift given.

I want to write poems that are beautiful, poems that reflect the goodness of our God, but also show the difficulties of life in a fallen world. Beauty and truth are all around us: in our churches, our gardens, our friends, our families, our hearts, and even in our pain.

I tend to enjoy poems that have rhythm and rhyme, so most of mine do as well. I tend to dislike poems that are overly complicated and unclear, so most of mine are fairly simple.

I will be posting at least one poem per week - on Sundays.
